Crossfit's annual Memorial Day "Murph"

"Murph" Crossfit WOD

In less than 24 hours, Crossfitters around the globe will be gearing up for the annual Crossfit unity WOD, "Murph."  The WOD is named after Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, who was killed while serving his country in Afghanistan on June 28th, 2005. It was known to be his favorite workout. 

The workout is long and grueling. Loud music is welcomed as it tends to relieve the mind games playing through your head. Many of the Crossfit athletes will be seen wearing a weighted vest for that extra personal challenge. Not only is it an accomplishment when you finish any of the "hero" WODs, it is also a great time to reflect on the honorable men and women that serve our country so we have the freedom to do the things we love, like Crossfit. However you decide to partition your workout, enjoy, have fun and give it all you got!

For time:

1 mile run 

100 pull-ups 

200 push-ups

300 squats

1 mile run
